Built for people who hate strict size limits.
Every government portal. Every job application form. Every visa upload. They all demand "image must be under 50KB" — and most online compressors miss the target by miles.
The problem
Most image compressors give you a vague "low / medium / high" quality slider. That's useless when your form needs a file under exactly 100KB. You end up uploading, checking the size, going back, sliding the slider, exporting, checking again — over and over.
Worse: most of those tools upload your photo to their servers. For ID photos, passport pictures, or personal documents, that's a privacy nightmare.
Our approach
ImageCompressor does two things differently:
- Exact KB control. Type "85" and you get a file as close to 85KB as physically possible. We use binary search on JPEG quality to nail it within ~2%.
- 100% browser-based. Your image is processed entirely on your device using JavaScript. Nothing is ever uploaded, logged, or stored anywhere.
What's free, what's funded
The tool is free for everyone, forever. No accounts, no watermarks, no usage caps. We make money from non-intrusive Google AdSense ads on the page — that's it. We don't sell data, because we never collect any in the first place.
What's next
We're slowly adding more browser-only utilities: image-to-PDF converter, format converter, dimension resizer, background remover. All free. All private. All in your browser.
