1. Image processing

All image compression on ImageCompressor happens entirely inside your browser using JavaScript and the HTML5 Canvas API. Your images are never sent to our servers, third-party servers, or any external service. We have no way to access, view, or store the photos you compress.

When you close the browser tab, every trace of your images is gone from memory.

2. Information we collect

We do not collect any of the following:

• Your name, email, or any account information (we don't have accounts)
• The contents of any image you process
• Filenames, sizes, or any metadata of files you upload

We do collect anonymous usage data through Google Analytics 4: pages visited, country, browser, and time spent. This data cannot be linked back to you personally.

3. Cookies

We use cookies for two purposes:

• Google Analytics — anonymous traffic analytics (no personal data)
• Google AdSense — to display relevant ads that fund this free tool

Both Google Analytics and AdSense may set cookies on your device. You can review Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy.

4. Advertising

ImageCompressor is funded by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings at google.com/settings/ads.

For users in the EU, you can also opt out of third-party cookie use for personalized advertising at youronlinechoices.eu.

5. Your rights

Since we don't collect personal information from you, there's no personal data to access, correct, or delete. If you have any privacy concern, you can:

• Disable cookies in your browser settings
• Use the tool in incognito / private browsing mode
• Opt out of personalized ads (link above)

6. Children's privacy

This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children under 13.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of ImageCompressor after changes means you accept the updated policy.
