NADRA photo requirements 2025

Applying on id.nadra.gov.pk for CNIC, NICOP, or FRC? The portal usually rejects uploads for three reasons: file too large, wrong format, or photo framing. This guide lists typical specs — then points you to a private tool for the KB limit.

CNIC vs NICOP vs FRC

CNIC

National ID for residents. Online renewal often needs passport-style JPG under 100KB.

NICOP

Overseas Pakistanis. Similar photo rules; confirm the live form on id.nadra.gov.pk.

FRC

Family registration. Photo framing and KB limits follow the same portal patterns.

What this tool fixes vs what it does not

Compress image for NADRA handles kilobytes only. White background, crop, and 35×45 mm framing must be done in a photo editor or studio before you compress.

Workflow: crop to passport proportions → export JPG → compress to 100KB → upload. iPhone HEIC? Use HEIC to JPG first.
