Browser-only image size checker

Image size checker — pixels, KB & format

Drop any photo and instantly see its width × height in pixels, file size in KB and MB, format, aspect ratio, megapixels, and DPI. Then check in one glance whether it fits a strict upload form — PPSC, NADRA, FBISE, FPSC, or passport.

Too big? Shrink it with the image compressor. Wrong pixels? Fix them with the image resizer.

What this checker tells you

The exact pixel dimensions, the real file size in KB and MB, the true format (JPG, PNG, WebP), the aspect ratio and megapixels, and the DPI stored in the file — everything a strict online form measures before it accepts or rejects your photo.

Who needs this tool?

Anyone facing a form that says "photo must be 200×230 px and under 25KB" and wants to confirm their image passes before uploading — PPSC, NADRA, FBISE, FPSC, NTS, visa, and university applicants who are tired of "file too large" errors.

Common upload limits

Photo size rules people check most

These are the exact pixel and KB limits Pakistani exam and ID portals enforce. Upload your photo above and the checker marks each one pass or fail.

Private by default

The check happens on your device. Your image is read in the browser and never uploaded to any server.

Instant, exact numbers

No guessing from your file manager. You get the true pixel dimensions and byte-accurate KB size the moment you drop the file.

Pass / fail at a glance

Type your form's pixel and KB requirement, or use a built-in preset, and see a clear pass or fail before you upload.

FAQ

Image size checker questions

How do I check the size of an image?+

Drop your image into the checker above. It instantly shows the pixel dimensions (width × height), the file size in KB and MB, the format, aspect ratio, megapixels, and DPI — all read in your browser without uploading anything.

What is the difference between pixel size and file size?+

Pixel size is the image's dimensions, like 600×600 px — how many dots wide and tall it is. File size is how much storage the file takes, measured in KB or MB. A form can ask for both: an exact pixel size and a maximum KB. This checker shows both so you can meet each rule.

How do I check if my photo is under 25KB or 100KB?+

Upload the photo and read the "File size" line, which shows the exact KB. The built-in presets also mark PPSC (25KB), NADRA (100KB), FBISE (40KB), and FPSC (30KB) as pass or fail automatically. If it fails, use the linked compressor to bring it under the limit.

Does checking the image upload it anywhere?+

No. The image is read entirely in your browser using local JavaScript. It never leaves your device and is not sent to Kodotools or any server.

Can I check the DPI of an image here?+

Yes. The DPI line reads the value stored in the JPG or PNG file. If no DPI is stored, most software treats the image as 72 DPI. To change it, use the DPI converter.

My photo is too big — how do I fix it?+

If the KB is too high, use the image compressor to hit an exact size. If the pixel dimensions are wrong, use the image resizer to set the exact width and height, then re-check here.
