How PNG to PDF works

A PDF built from images is essentially a wrapper around the pictures inside it. On the Lossless setting, each PNG is embedded exactly as-is, so screenshots, charts and text edges stay pixel-sharp. If you set a KB cap instead, the tool re-encodes each page to JPEG and, if needed, scales it down until the whole PDF fits your target. PNG transparency is flattened onto a white background so nothing turns black in the PDF. Everything is measured in your browser, so you see the real file size before you download.

01

Add your PNGs

Drop one PNG or many. Reorder them so the pages come out in the right sequence.

02

Lossless or sized

Keep the Lossless default for crisp output, or set a KB cap for a strict upload limit.

03

Convert & download

Hit convert. See the final size, then download your PDF. Done.

Why convert PNG to PDF?

PNG is great for screenshots and graphics, but it's awkward to send: one file per image, no fixed page, and no easy way to bundle several together. A PDF fixes all of that — and keeps the pixels intact when you use the Lossless setting.

  • Bundle many into one: merge a stack of screenshots or scans into a single, ordered multi-page PDF.
  • Crisp screenshots & text: the Lossless setting keeps sharp edges readable — no JPEG blur on charts, code or line art.
  • Upload-ready: many portals accept PDF but not PNG, or cap the size — set a KB target to slip under the limit.
  • Consistent pages: choose A4 or Letter so every screenshot prints on a proper page instead of odd shapes.

Tips for a clean PNG-to-PDF

Keep screenshots sharp

For screenshots, code, or charts, stay on the Lossless setting. It embeds the PNG untouched, so text edges never pick up the fuzzy artifacts a JPEG conversion adds.

Transparency becomes white

PDF pages have no transparency, so any see-through areas in your PNG are placed on a clean white background. That keeps logos and UI captures looking right instead of turning black.

A4 vs "fit to image"

Choose A4 or Letter when a form expects a standard page. Use Fit to image for screenshots or graphics where you don't want white borders.

When you need it small

Hitting an upload cap? Set a KB target — the tool re-encodes to fit. For the smallest, cleanest result you can also shrink the PNGs first in the image compressor.

FAQ

Common questions

How do I convert PNG to PDF? +

Drop your PNG (or several), leave the target on Lossless for a crisp result, then hit Convert to PDF. Each PNG becomes a page. Preview it, check the size, and download — no upload, no signup.

Does converting PNG to PDF lose quality? +

Not on the Lossless setting — the PNG is embedded exactly as-is, so screenshots and text stay pixel-sharp. Quality only drops if you set a KB target, and then only as much as needed to hit that size.

Can I combine multiple PNG images into one PDF? +

Absolutely. Drop or select several PNGs and each becomes its own page. Drag the items in the list to set the page order, then convert them all into a single multi-page PDF.

What happens to transparent PNGs? +

PDF pages don't support transparency, so any transparent areas are placed on a clean white background. This keeps logos and screenshots looking correct instead of turning black, which is what many converters do.

Can I set the PDF size in KB? +

Yes. If a form caps the upload, pick a preset like 80KB, 150KB or 500KB, or type any custom KB value. The converter re-encodes and gets as close as it can to your target without going over.

Are my files uploaded to a server? +

No. The entire PNG to PDF conversion happens locally in your browser with JavaScript. Your images and the PDF never leave your device.

Can I mix PNG with JPG or WebP? +

Yes — PNG, JPG, JPEG and WebP can all go into the same PDF. If you have mostly photos, the JPG to PDF converter is a better fit; for iPhone HEIC files, convert them with HEIC to JPG first.

Does it work on a phone? +

Yes. It runs in Android and iOS browsers, so you can turn PNG screenshots into a PDF straight from your phone.

Is this PNG to PDF converter free? +

Completely. No account, no watermark, no page or usage limits. Files stay on your device.
