What types of QR codes can I create?
URL/links, WiFi credentials, vCard (digital business card), plain text, WhatsApp chat links, email with subject/body, phone numbers, social profile links (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.), and links to hosted PDFs or documents.
Can I put my logo in the middle of the QR code?
Yes. Upload a small PNG, JPG, WebP, or SVG in the Customise panel. We bump error correction automatically so the code still scans. Keep the logo simple and leave enough quiet zone around the QR.
How does the WiFi QR code work?
When someone scans a WiFi QR code, their phone automatically offers to connect to the network — no typing the password. Works on iOS 11+ and Android 10+.
Can I customize the QR code colors?
Yes. Use the Customise panel to change the foreground (QR modules) and background colors. Keep good contrast for best scanning reliability.
Why doesn't the preview change when I pick a different export size?
The live preview stays one consistent size so you can tweak colours and shapes without the QR jumping. Small / Medium / Large / Print sets the pixel dimensions for PNG, SVG, and copy — same idea as our dedicated WiFi and WhatsApp QR pages.
What's the difference between PNG and SVG?
PNG is a raster image — great for screens and quick sharing. SVG is a vector format that scales cleanly — perfect for print. Both respect your chosen export size.
Do the QR codes expire?
No. Static QR codes (like URL, WiFi, vCard) contain the data directly in the code — they work forever without any dependency on our servers.
Does it work on mobile?
Fully. Works on Android and iOS browsers. Generate and download QR codes directly on your phone.
How do I make a location QR code?
Open Google Maps, find the place, tap Share, and copy the link. Paste that link into the URL tab above and download — scanning it opens directions in the person's maps app. It's the simplest kind of location QR code generator: the QR just carries the maps link.
What image format should I download — PNG or SVG?
For screens, websites, or slides, download a PNG at 512px or larger. For anything going to print — posters, packaging, signage — download the SVG so it stays sharp at any size. Set the export size before downloading; the image QR code you get is exactly those pixels.
Can I generate QR codes in bulk?
This tool makes one QR code at a time, which suits most people. For a true bulk QR code generator — say, a unique code per table or per product from a spreadsheet — you'd need a dedicated batch service. For a handful of codes, making them here one by one is quick, free, and keeps every code static so none of them expire.
