FPSC, PPSC, NTS, and departmental ads often expect Matric/Inter details, CNIC on the CV, domicile, and a formal photo. Use the Classic template and one page unless the ad asks for more.
CV format for multinational companies in Pakistan
MNCs (Unilever, banks, tech outsourcers) usually prefer ATS-friendly layouts: no photo, clear English, skills up front, one page for under five years experience. Link LinkedIn; skip CNIC unless the form requires it.
CV tips for Pakistani job seekers
The Pakistani job market has its own conventions. Here's what actually matters for CVs in Pakistan — for local companies, MNCs, and government roles.
Photo: expected in Pakistan, optional for multinationals
For local Pakistani companies, government jobs (FPSC, PPSC, NTS), and most corporate roles, including a professional headshot is standard and expected. For MNCs or international applications, skip it.
CNIC on CV — when to include it
Government and public-sector CVs in Pakistan often list your CNIC number in the header (format: 12345-1234567-1). PPSC/FPSC online forms may ask separately — still add it on the CV if the advertisement says so. Omit CNIC for private MNC and overseas applications unless requested.
Domicile and province
Provincial quota ads (especially Punjab, Sindh, KPK, Balochistan) expect domicile and sometimes district. Place “Domicile: Punjab” (or your province) near personal details on government CVs; match the certificate you will attach at interview.
List your board results (Matric / Intermediate)
Unlike Western CVs, Pakistani employers — especially for entry-level and government roles — commonly expect Matric (SSC) and Intermediate (HSSC) results listed. Include your board name, year, and percentage.
Language skills matter in Pakistan
List your English proficiency level (Fluent, Professional, Conversational) and mention Urdu and any regional languages you speak. For multinational roles especially, English fluency is a key differentiator.
Use a professional email address
firstname.lastname@gmail.com is the minimum standard. Avoid nicknames or numbers like "coolkid123" — it's a small thing that Pakistani HR managers actually notice and judge.
Add your city, not full address
List your city (Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar etc.) in the contact section. Full postal addresses are outdated. For remote jobs, "Open to relocation" is worth adding.

FAQ
CV questions for Pakistani job seekers
What is the standard CV format in Pakistan?
The standard Pakistani CV includes: contact info, objective/summary, education (including Matric/Inter), work experience, skills, and references. For fresh graduates, a photo is common. Length is typically 1-2 pages. Always submit as PDF.
Should I write a CV objective in Pakistan?
A brief 2-3 line objective or professional summary is still standard in Pakistan, unlike in Western markets where it's less common. Keep it specific to the job — avoid generic phrases like "seeking a challenging position."
Can I apply with a CV made on this tool for government jobs?
Yes. The PDF produced is a standard A4 document. For FPSC, PPSC, or NTS applications, use the Classic template and make sure to include all the required information the job posting asks for. Some government jobs have their own form — check if a CV is accepted or if you must fill their form.
Is this tool free in Pakistan?
100% free. No signup, no account, no paid plan. Kodotools is built in Pakistan and funded by ads — not by charging users. Every feature including PDF download is completely free.
